This is Callie. She (or he) is a beautiful Blue-Fronted Amazon Parrot. Someone had her as a pet at one time. One day they took Callie to the Forever Wild Exotic Animal In Sanctuary in Phelan and left her there. Forever Wild gave Callie to Tanya so she could find her a FOREVER home. Our bird person knows that she will make the a wonderful fid (feathered kid) with the right parront! Callie needs someone who will take the time to make her confident again and she will be a very happy bird!! She loves to wolf-whistle and yell HELLO! She gets excited and she spreads her wings to show you how happy she is! Our bird person can work with Callie because she knows Callie will be easy to work with....however, Callie may bond with her and then get separated AGAIN when she is adopted. If there is the right PARRONT out there for Callie, we would like her to be adopted, and then we can help with the transition if needed! Callie had her nails and wings trimmed today, and she did very well...that is common in birds that have been pets.
